Thiruchendur Murugan Temple flood, For the first time, rainwater infiltrated the Thiruchendur temple

Due to heavy rains in Nellai and Thoothukudi districts, rainwater infiltrated into Thiruchendur temple ... Holidays were declared for schools in the district in the afternoon.


In Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in the southern coastal districts of Tamil Nadu due to the newly formed depression in the Bay of Bengal. Following this, heavy rain warning was issued to the southern districts and precautionary measures were taken.


It has been raining extensively in Nellai and Thoothukudi districts for the last two days. As a result, it has been raining continuously throughout the Thoothukudi district since this morning.


So the roads are flooded with rainwater. In the low-lying areas, rains have accumulated and flooded the area. Recovery efforts have been hampered by heavy rains in areas where rainwater is already stagnant.


Rain floods the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple


Due to the continuous heavy rain, the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple was flooded. There was 24 cm of rainfall.




Due to heavy rains, flood water infiltrated the Thiruchendur temple. Devotees are suffering from not being able to leave the temple.


As the rainwater supply in the inner and outer walls of the temple is increasing, the staff is engaged in the task of draining the rainwater. This is the first time that rainwater has accumulated in the Subramania Swamy Temple.


Heavy rains lashed the residences and around the Murugan Temple in Thiruchendur on Thursday morning. The public and devotees suffered greatly as the city was flooded.


Heavy rains lashed the Thiruchendur area from 9.30 am to 12 noon on Thursday. 17 cm in about 3 hours. The street was flooded as it was raining.


According to the Thiruchendur Arulmigu Subramania Swamy Temple, devotees suffered due to the influx of rainwater from the Shanmuga Vilasam area inside the temple.
